Rita has been a healer for over 25 years. She first became introduced to healing in 1972 at the age of 8 when her mother took her to her first initiation of Transcendental Meditation, closely followed by yoga and the Ayurvedic diet. Rita was born in the Philippines and before the age of 13 had lived in Japan, California, Hawaii, Virginia, Italy and the Azores.

Dr. AnnMarie Thomas is an assistant professor of Engineering at the University of St. Thomas where her teaching focuses on design (classes include "Machine Design and Synthesis," "Engineering Graphics and Design," "Product Design: Toys," "Dynamics with Circus Lab," and "Design for an Aging Population.") Previously, she was a faculty member at Art Center College of Design. She is the director of the UST Design laboratory and leads a team of students looking at both the playful side of engineering (squishy circuits for students, the science of circus, toy design) and ways to use engineering design to help others (projects in technology design for older adults).

David Flink was diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD at the age of 9. He was a member of the first generation of students to receive special education services and accommodations.
In 1998, he co-founded Eye to Eye, a national mentoring organization for students with learning disabilities, where he holds the title of CEO (Chief Empowerment Officer).
