---|
Ida is a licensed MFT, having a wide variety of clinical experience ranging from working with children and adolescents in the schools, to Ida is fluent in Farsi and has experience working and living within the Iranian community. With its unique culture and traditions, Ida is knowledgeable about the different challenges that may exist exclusive to the Iranian community. She and another colleague have started the first Family to Family class of NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) educating family members about mental illness. "We are so scared to speak about mental illness in our community that we neglect those that really need the proper support, care, and resources. Our aim is to break the silence and openly talk about mental illness." "I believe that growth is a natural and necessary part of life. Without proper nourishment and care, both our physical and emotional selves will be neglected and will never reach its highest potential. I look forward to working with you on this very important journey." - Ida Zarrabizadeh
