Lauren Curtis graduated with a BFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, in 1988. She enjoys working in a variety of media, including oils, acrylics, pen & ink, watercolor and photography. The artist is happiest when creating pieces that represent her love of nature, wildlife, travel and spiritual subject matter.

An inspiring teacher, Isla has been an educator for the past 40 years, firstly as a teacher of Science and Biology and then as Director of the International College of Herbal Medicine (2000-2012) and Director of the Waikato Centre for Herbal Medicine, Waikato, New Zealand (1990-2000).

She is also an experienced herbal medicine practitioner and has presented at conferences both in New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the United States.

Blue O'Connell is a singer/songwriter and certified music practitioner. An accomplished guitarist from Chicago, she began her professional music career accompanying singers. Upon moving to Charlottesville in 1989, she found her own voice as a songwriter after being invited to a women's gathering. She is employed as a certified music practitioner at the University of Virginia hospital playing therapeutic music for patients. In addition, she leads sing alongs with groups of individuals with intellectual disabilities and elderly.
